Easy Lace Hearts

You will need the Dingbat font " Flakey" for this tutorial. You can download it here.


Step One

1) First we are going to create a stamp to use for the lace.

2) Open an image 75 x 75

3)Take your text tool and select the Flakey font,letter b, size 80, color white.


4)Save this in your stamps folder.(File,save as, find your Stamps folder, and save as ufo.)


5) Now we add it to the stamps menu.Click on your stamps tool, click on "add stamp".
Find it in your stamps folder and click open. Now your snowflake is a stamp:)


Step Two

1) Open an image 400 x400

2) Path Drawing tool, custom shape, heart, 3D round Color of your choice.

3)Set the border at 43 and depth at 30.

4) Click on the Material icon. Go to shading and click "metallic=Copper.

5) You should now have this.


6) Now to make the lace. Select your stamp tool, and chose the snow flake you made earlier.
7)Use the following settings.


8)Go to Effect and select Paint on Edges

9) Your heart should look like this now. You might want to change your background color to something other then white, so you can see the lace better.

10) Drag the heart off and it will open in its own window. Just leave it there for now.

11) Click on the lace to make it active. . Right click and duplicate..

12) With the new lace active , select the tranform tool and make the lace a bit bigger .
Duplicate again and make it larger then the last one.

13) Select all three of the lace objects and right click and align=center horizontally.
14)Right click and Merge as Single Object
15) Drag your heart shape over onto the lace.Center it and Combine as single object.

16)Right click and select shadow. Use these settings.


Thats it, your all finished. Decorate it any way you like.
